By Anna WinstonUS president-elect Barack Obama has appointed an architect, Shaun Donovan, to the post of secretary of housing and urban development in his incoming administration.
Donovan, who has a degree in architecture from Harvard, has a background in affordable housing, and has been head of New York’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development since 2004.
